Rustic Floating Mantel Shelf For Fireplace Living Room Wall

Over the hearth, the Rustic Floating Mantel Shelf For Fireplace Living Room Wall frames the fire with a single plank and its live edge. The line is simple. The grain is warm.

Design

The shelf looks as if it floats, because the mounting hardware is concealed. The hand-hewn live edge keeps the original outline of the wood.

Materials and finish

It is cut from one solid block of natural wood and arrives as one complete piece, ready to use. A light finish keeps the surface tactile.

Where to use it

Mount it above an indoor fireplace, an electric or gas hearth, or a cast-iron stove, or use it as an accent in a lodge lounge or boutique hotel. Line it with candles, small frames or a few dried stems, and the whole wall gains a focal point. The plain, thick profile keeps the display from feeling busy, and the wood adds a natural contrast to stone or brick.
